Cascade’s Mission
1) To offer the highest quality construction and landscaping services that reflect our clients’ love for the environment and the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
2) To close the gap between ecological restoration design and practice. Cascade Ecology brings together ecological expertise with the capacity for consultation, design and implementation of projects at every scale.
Cascade’s Credo
Cascade Ecology is founded and managed by Scott Brekke Davis (Master of Environmental Horticulture), based in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, settled on the rainy west side of Tiger Mountain. The “Cascade Effect” in Ecology is the concept that large and compounded disturbances to ecosystems, such as the introduction and spread of invasive species, can result in a cascade of negative effects, and even extinctions, within any ecosystem.
Conversely, we believe that we can take actions to rehabilitate and restore the natural ecosystems that we live in and rely on. We believe that these actions can lead to a cascade of positive effects that restore the diversity and resilience of natural ecosystems, while simultaneously improving and deepening our relationship with the natural world. In simpler words, together we can:
Do Good Things. Outside.
